Kids can join the Big Read during this special StoryArts meet-up and learn about Indian culture. Read along with Ely Bistrong, an artist/educator, and then create your own artwork to take home inspired by the children’s books: Rangoli: Discovering the Art of Indian Decoration, and Indian Tales: A Barefoot Collection. Adults attending with children will receive a free copy of The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri. This event is presented in partnership with The Center for Literature and Theatre at MDC.
