"Corporate Environmental Sustainability"
Speaker: Leisha John, AmericasDirector of Environmental Sustainability
Message from SBC Chair:
Dear Miami Beach Chamber colleagues,
The recent oil spill reminded us of the important role environmental responsibility plays in a business' identity, financial future and stakeholder relationships. Sustainable economic growth for any business or community depends on the sustained health and balance of our natural environment which provides life-giving sustenance to us all, without cost.
Ernst & Young, one of the Big-4 accounting firms, has been a longtime, global leader in corporate sustainability initiatives. And since 2008, under the guidance of the company's Americas Director of Environmental Sustainability, Leisha John, CPA, LEED AP, Ernst & Young, has launched new initiatives that continue to set the company apart.
This month, the Sustainable Business Council is honored to have
Leisha John as our July speaker. Please join us, Wednesday, July 28, 9:00AM, at the MBCC building, 3rd floor Boardroom.
Leisha's program on Corporate Environmental Sustainability' will address:
• Why are businesses committing to environmental sustainability?
• Why is carbon footprint measurement critical? (and how do you do it?)
• What strategies can benefit your company? (no matter what size)
This meeting is perfect for any business, especially facility managers and real estate professionals, interested in learning more about corporate environmental responsibility, as well as greening their company's operations.
We look forward to seeing you!
Gabriole
