In 2010, Miami Beach will welcome over 10,000 members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community from all over the United States and abroad for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's 17th annual Winter Party Festival. Founded in 1994 as a single event and an LGBT fundraiser, Winter Party Festival is now a week-long series of more than twenty diverse, exciting events in beautiful Miami Beach. It features the latest in trendsetting talent with popular DJs, celebrities and other well-known personalities popular with the LGBT community. The Beach Party is the largest single event of the entire festival with more than 6,000 people joining us on the beautiful sands of South Beach for the ultimate outdoor dance party. The Pool Party takes place at the host hotel, the Doubletree Surfcomber, and welcomes over 2,500 guests.
