Just for Me Evening

Frost Science invites individuals with special needs and their families for a sensory-friendly evening of hands-on exploration and discovery. Designed to be a comfortable and welcoming environment for individuals of all abilities, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy select exhibitions without a crowd – including the Aquarium and MeLaβ .

 

What is Just for Me?

Just for Me is a program dedicated to welcoming individuals and families with special needs to explore the world of Frost Science. This program will take place on a weekday evening to provide an opportunity for you and your family to enjoy the museum in a quiet, comfortable and accepting environment. Just for Me includes a sensory modified setting, limited admission and sound/lighting adjustments. We encourage families to make connections and share resources. Admission is free for individuals with special needs and their families; however, RSVP is required. Space is limited. If you have any questions email accessibility@frostscience.org.

 

Onsite parking is available in the museum garage for $8 flat rate starting at 5:00 p.m. All cars must exit garage by 9:00 p.m. Flat rate will not apply to cars that enter the garage before 5:00 p.m.

 

5:00 p.m.: Just for Me Evening participants may start to enter the museum. All regular admission exhibitions will be open with no modifications.

6:00 p.m.: General admission ends. Just for Me Evening participants may continue to arrive and/or continue museum exploration in select exhibitions including Aquarium and MeLaB.

6:15 p.m.: Frost Planetarium Show: “Dynamic Earth”, approximate 30 minutes in duration (optional).

6:30 p.m.: Just for Me Evening continues with sensory modified settings for open exhibitions: Aquarium and MeLaB. All other exhibitions will be closed.

8:00 p.m.: Just for Me Evening ends.
