Ballet Flamenco La Rosa will present Fuerza Flamenca, with Guest Artist Pepe Flores direct from Spain, on Saturday, May 6 at 8:00 pm and Sunday, May 7 at 3:00 pm at the Gleason Room at the Fillmore on Miami Beach. This pure flamenco work will be a showcase for this breathtaking art, in a mesmerizing event of pure Flamenco music and dance in a range of rhythms and styles that will take you through dramatic, soulful, joyous and sensual moods with the passionate vocals, exquisite guitar, electrifying footwork and all of the grace and beauty that has made Flamenco so loved by audiences throughout the world.

Flamenco sensation Pepe Flores will join Ballet Flamenco La Rosa's magnificent company of some of the finest local professional Flamenco artists from Spain, Latin America and the U.S. to collaborate as principle dancer and guest choreographer for this powerful presentation. Artists will include dancers Mayelu Perez, Maria Mercedes Perez, Sandra Bara and Miguel Tellez. Guitarist Israel Heredia, from Sacromonte, Granada, Spain, and singers Yanela Gomez and Salvador de Angela will compose and arrange original and traditional music to be played and sung live for this rich and powerful work.
Born in Medieval Andalucía, Southern Spain in the Middle Ages, when Europeans, Arabs, Jews, Gypsies and Africans co-existed in a Golden Age of art and learning, this art form has fascinated writers, poets, composers, painters, sculptors, choreographers and audiences for centuries and developed into one of the most respected and loved music and dance forms, evolving to the highest level of technique and artistic expression.
