Art Deco of the Palm Beaches Art Deco design is a jazzy celebration of the Machine Age, mass production, geometry, and the straight line. Palm Beach County has dozens of Art Deco treasures built throughout the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s, which are located in the downtowns of Delray Beach up through West Palm Beach. (Art Deco architecture found in Palm Beach County is spread out rather than concentrated in one location.) Join author Sharon Koskoff for a tour of some of these remarkable gems, as seen in her new book "Art Deco of the Palm Beaches." Free admission. Sharon Koskoff is the founding president of the Art Deco Society of the Palm Beaches, which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2007. A full-time mural artist, designer, and preservationist, Koskoff enjoys creating large-scale, community oriented art in public places. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to Delray Beach, Florida, in 1985.
