SUMMARY:We Do It On Thursdays :: Weekly Wine Tasting at Escopazzo!
DESCRIPTION:Above all\, Tuscany produces red wine and\, above all\, this wine is made from the Sangiovese grape. The last twenty or so years has seen Sangiovese find a new partner - Cabernet Sauvignon - and when this marriage works\, as it often does\, the resultant wines are usually excellent and\, occasionally\, truly great. The white wines of Tuscany are far less important than the reds. Produced predominantly from the workaday Trebbiano grape\, a notable exception is Vernaccia di San Gimignano.\n\n\n\nThe theme is casual and the wines are presented with knowledge and personal experience.\n\n\n\nThis week\, Ileana Fajardo takes us deep into Tuscany.\n\n\n\nFontaleoni Vernaccia di San Gimignano\n\nDei Rosso di Montepulciano\n\nDei Vino Nobile di Montepulciano\n\nSan Filippo Rosso di Montalcino\n\n\n\n$20.00 per person includes tastings\, light finger foods and stimulating conversation.\n\n$9 and $12 small plates menu also available
