Persistent Inequalities Must Drive Change For Women's Empowerment. The GEI is a composite score that highlights overall gender disparities in education\, healthcare\, employment\, political representation\, and social and economic opportunities. The GEI reflects that women and girls face interconnected challenges\, as obstacles in each of the Women's Fund Miami-Dade (WFMD) four pillars   Economic Mobility\, Health and Well-Being\, Leadership\, and Freedom From Violence   affect outcomes in the other three. The Index continues the WFMD research initiative\, which started 3 years ago with the design of the Gender Equity Dashboard. The Dashboard includes a growing number of metrics\, almost 80\, across the four pillars.
