DESCRIPTION:Come join us and put the WOW in POW WOW. The 41st annual International Pow Wow Travel Convention will be held in Miami Beach from May 16-20\, 2009.  In advance of the show's opening\, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is hosting a party for Miami Beach residents and hospitality service workers to show our appreciation and excitement for this upcoming event.  We will provide a look into the importance of the city's tourism industry with messages from city leaders and well-known celebrities who are all part of the "WOW" in Pow Wow.ABOUT POW WOW MIAMI:\nThe U.S. Travel Association's (formerlyTIA) 41st annual International Pow Wow takes place in Greater Miami and the Beaches at the Miami Beach Convention Center from May 16-20\, 2009.  Pow Wow is the travel industry's premier international marketplace and the largest generator of travel to the U.S.  Approximately 5\,000 travel professionals from around the world will conduct business negotiations that will result in more than $3.5 billion in travel\, with much of that benefiting our community.  In addition\, approximately 300 domestic and international travel journalists will be providing media coverage on Greater Miami and the Beaches.
