DESCRIPTION:On behalf of health & Wellness Council Co-Chairs Maia Mediavilla (Vi at Aventura) and Dr. Sachi (Sachi Wisdom)\, we invite you to join us for our monthly meeting.\n\n\n\nThe Business of Psilocybin Mushrooms:\n\nThe Politics - Local Research and Trials - How to get involved\n\n \n\nSpeaker:\n\nDr. Julia Mirer\, MD\n\n \n\n Dr. Julia Mirer\, MD BIO:\n\nDr. Julia Mirer\, MD is a consultant in the emerging field of psychedelic medicine\, serving as a bridge between eastern and western practices\, committed to merging the two in order to help create a new paradigm for integrative health and wellness. Dr. Mirer has positioned herself at the interface of psychedelic policy\, research\, and practice. Her volunteer work includes serving as the Chief Education Officer for Mr Psychedelic Law\, a Florida nonprofit pushing for psilocybin reform\, working closely with the Plant Medicine Coalition. Dr. Mirer is the Director of Strategy for Nushama\, a ketamine journey center in NYC\, and has joined the team at Segal Trials' new Center for Psychedelic and Cannabis Research where she is part of a landmark FDA phase 2 study using psilocybin for major depression. \n\n\nMission Statement\n\nTo facilitate communication between and among the members of the Health & Wellness community and the Miami Beach community at large in order to (a) increase awareness that impacts individuals and businesses and (b) identify and create business opportunities between them.
