DESCRIPTION:CD5K is a celebration of the human-animal bond featuring games\, presentations\, and prizes\, in addition to the highlighted timed walk/run in which dogs can PAWticipate. This is a %100 local community/local business event\, and proceeds go toward awarding scholarship opportunities to children ages 7-12 who are in dependent (foster) care and who otherwise would not have the chance to participate in our camp. Our camp pairs children with local shelter dogs\, where the kids learn about safety\, humane handling and force free communication while at the same time becoming advocates for the dog's adoption.
