She was previously president of the University of Pennsylvania and provost of Yale University. Since joining the Foundation in 2005\, Dr. Rodin has recalibrated its focus to meet the challenges of the 21st century and today\, the Foundation supports and shapes innovations to expand opportunity worldwide and build greater resilience by helping people\, communities and institutions prepare for\, withstand and emerge stronger from acute shocks and chronic stresses. She has been vital to the future of our Miami Beach Community\, which was recently selected along with Greater Miami\, to participate as one of the prestigious 100 Resilient Cities program\, supported by The Rockefeller Foundation. This program helps cities identify partners to effectively deal with the complex issue of resiliency\, which is plaguing coastal cities around the globe. \n\n\n\nDr. Robin was the first woman president of an Ivy League Institution\, the University of Pennsylvania\, and the first woman to serve as The Rockefeller Foundation's president. Dr. Rodin is the author of more then 250 academic articles and books.
