In 1969\, the artist began experimenting with methods of creating metal wildflower sculpture. The detailed art of Trailer McQuilkin's wildflower sculptures are a blend of several artistic techniques\, producing an art form that is unique\, making each sculpture one of a kind. \n\nMcQuilkin uses sheet copper\, copper wire\, metal primer\, oil paints\, and natural materials in his work.
