DESCRIPTION:2018 VETERANS DAY PARADE \n\n\n\n\n\nParade Details:\n\n\n\nThe Veterans Day Parade will be held on Veterans Day\, Sunday\, November 11th.  The parade will travel through the City of Miami Beach\, followed by a wreath laying ceremony.  It will honor the men and women who have sacrificed to fight for freedom. Commencing at 11:11 a.m.\, the parade will bring participants from 5th street Ocean Drive to Lummus Park.\n\n\n\nThe wreath laying ceremony and 21-gun salute at Lummus Park will begin at approximately 12:15 PM. following the parade.   A moment of silence will be observed  in honor of the First World War Armistice Day Tradition. \n\n\n\nThe outreach to schools\, organizations and businesses has been very well received as more than 2000 participants walked in previous parades.  Let's help make this year's events the best and most memorable ever!\n\n\n\n\n\nMeeting Place:\n\nOur President Jerry Libbin and Membership Director Wendy Unger will be on 5th Street and Ocean Drive (Beach side). Participating guests must be at this meeting point at 9:45 AM SHARP. Guests will need to fill out waivers at check-in to receive a parade wrist band. LOCATION:Float Participants will line up at 9:00 AM and the parade will begin at 11:11 a.m. sharp. Marchers will travel north on Ocean Drive into Lummus Park. There will be a ceremony in the park followed by a free picnic for all participants.
