SUMMARY:12PM Tourism & Hospitality Council Meeting
DESCRIPTION:On behalf of council Chairs Chris Rollins (South Beach Group) and Ceci Velasco (Ocean Drive Association)\, we invite you to join the Tourism & Hospitality Council for their monthly meeting.\n\n\n\nKeynote Speaker\n\n\n\n\n\nJames Quinlan | Director\, The Rhythm Foundation\, Inc.\n\n\n\n\n\nBenton Galgay | Deputy Director\, The Rhythm Foundation\, Inc.\n\n\n\n\n\nGuest Speaker\n\n\n\nGerman Gobel\n\n\n\nVaccine trials experience\n\n\n \n\n\nGobel came to the states in 1974 and Settled in Miami Beach with my family. He was raised in South Beach but has lived all over Miami Beach. He graduated from Beach High in 1983 and went to work in the computer field in 1990 and has been working in all areas of Information Technology from Desktop Support to his current position as a Cyber Security Engineer. \n\n\n\nGobel will share on his decision to choose the vaccine trial he did. "The science convinced me that the risk was acceptable based on the research and data available at the time" says Gobel. "To me\, preventing a computer virus or malware from infecting a company's systems is no different than a using a vaccine to do the same thing with a human virus. You prevent the infection by vaccinating yourself and producing antibodies that stop the virus dead in its tracks\, the same way you install software to prevent a digital virus from infecting a companies computers and other devices."\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nTourism & Hospitality Council Mission\n\n\n The mission of the Tourism and Hospitality Council is to be a resource for local companies on how to increase travel and tourism business. Through social communication online and in person\, the council will support chamber members by conducting educational workshops and webinars\, networking\, forums with industry leaders\, a travel and tourism trade show.\n\n \nFor more information regarding the Tourism & Hospitality Council\, please contact Alicia Pardey\, council liaison at events@miamibeachchamber.com.
