DESCRIPTION:On behalf of Council Co-Chairs Maia Mediavilla (Vi at Aventura)  and Dr. Sachi (Sachi Wisdom) you are invited to the Health and Wellness Council's monthly meeting via zoom.\n\n\n\nMission Critical \n\nNavigating Through Uncertainty\n\n\n\nThis workshop that will address the topic of uncertainty and \n\nvulnerability in the time of COVID-19. It will explore the typical \n\nresponses of fear and worry and provide guidance on adaptive ways of managing the stress and overwhelm response.\n\n\n\npresented by\n\n\n\nIsabel Alfonsin Vittoria \n\nFlorida International University\, Office of Employee Assistance\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout\n\n\n\nIsabel Alfonsin-Vittoria is a licensed psychotherapist and employee assistance administrator with over 25 years of diverse clinical programs management experience. Her clinical profession has included: development and oversight of local and national behavioral health clinics and hospitals\, as well as employee assistance and health and wellness programs. She is a skilled workshop facilitator and presenter\, a life coach and management consultant. Among her passions in the helping professions\, Isabel has actively contributed to establishing best practices in the employee assistance field. As Director of the Office of Employee Assistance at Florida International University\, she provides overall administration of operations and provides and supervises all employee assistance clinical services. Major services include: confidential consultation and assessment\, brief counseling and referral to community organizations providing services and follow-up. Additionally\, she consults with faculty\, staff\, and administration on issues related to employees? health and wellness. She responds to crisis management issues affecting individuals and/or departments. Lastly\, she develops and conducts training workshops to enhance faculty and staff quality of life\, mindfulness\, resilience and work/life balance.\n\n\n\n \n\n\nMission Statement\n\nTo facilitate communication between and among the members of the Health & Wellness community and the Miami Beach community at large in order to (a) increase awareness that impacts individuals and businesses and (b) identify and create business opportunities between them.
