Douglas Gardens CMHC has an immediate opening for a Quality Improvement and Compliance Specialist. The Quality Improvement and Compliance Specialist is responsible for the development and management of the Mental Health Center’s quality improvement program and in-service education activities. The Quality Improvement and Compliance Specialist works with the CEO to plan, organize, direct, and lead the quality improvement process. Responsibilities include directing and managing clinical improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting improved health care outcomes.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a health or behavior health care setting working in the area of quality improvement, quality assurance, or risk management. Experience in the development and management of in-service training and education a plus.
  • Education: Minimum requirement of a Master's Degree with emphasis on education and training in techniques of system design, reengineering, project management, quality improvement, outcomes measurement, and statistical analysis. The candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Special Qualifications: Must have a basic competency with office automation (Word, Excel, Access, and Visio) and working knowledge of analytic techniques, research design and statistical analysis. Understanding of applicable national certifications standards for behavioral health care. The Center is CARF accredited, experience with CARF preferred.
