Monica Schroeder, M.S., is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). She works as a graduate assistant within the Department of Family Therapy in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Monica also works as a staff therapist for Stable Place, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides equine-assisted therapy and learning for individuals, couples, families, and groups. Monica is currently completing her doctoral internship at the Brief Therapy Institute’s Medical Family Therapy Clinic at NSU. She is also working on several grant funded research projects and has recently become a published author in the field of equine assisted psychotherapy.
Michael Rolleston, M.S. is currently a Ph.D. student in the Family Therapy program at Nova Southeastern University. He works as a graduate assistant in the NSU Brief Therapy Institute's Family Therapy Clinic. He does his clinical work at Stable Place, a local non-profit organization offering equine assisted therapies to the community. In addition to his clinical work as a staff therapist at Stable Place, he has been an intake coordinator for the organization for the past 3 years. His interests include researching, presenting, and publishing on strength-based and equine assisted approaches to therapy.

Health & Wellness Council Meeting:
Mental Health Awareness Month and has been observed in May in the United States since 1949, reaching millions of people in the United States through the media, local events, and screenings.
In honor of this, we are excited to have two faculty members from Nova Southeastern University's Family Therapy Porgram speaking at our Health & Wellness Council meeting this month.
